How can I buy tickets for The 148th Open at Royal Portrush in 2019?
Tickets for Practice Days can be purchased online or by contacting The Open Ticket Office on +44 (0)1334 460010. Please note that we have now completely sold out of tickets for Championship Days due to unprecedented demand. However, you can sign up to our Waiting List to receive information on how to access any returned tickets for Championship Days. Those on our waiting list who are also members of The One Club would receive priority access to tickets should any become available.
Can I purchase a ticket to The Open from another website?
The only official sources of tickets for The 148th Open are via TheOpen.com or our Authorised Ticketing Providers. Any tickets made available on websites such as Viagogo, Safetickets.net, Stubhub, eBay and Gumtree are not done so with the permission of The R&A and are subject to unregulated pricing. We have also encountered issues in the past in which photoshopped tickets or cancelled tickets were sold via these platforms. We strongly recommend that customers do not purchase tickets from 3rd party re-sellers as tickets sold on these sites are likely to be refused entry to the Championship. If you have already purchased tickets from a secondary ticketing platform, please contact us at tickets@theopen.com and we will do our best to assist you.
I can no longer attend. Can tickets be returned?
If you wish to cancel your order you may do so by informing us within 48 hours of purchase. The right to cancel tickets must be exercised no later than 13th July 2019 and you will not be entitled to a refund after 13th July 2019, except in the event of cancellation or suspension of play If you would like to be considered as an exception to the above policy, please contact us at tickets@theopen.com, explaining your circumstances.
I’ve lost or forgotten my tickets, what can I do?

Please contact The Open Ticket Office on +44 (0)1334 460010 or tickets@theopen.com

In some instances, we may be able to re-issue your tickets, however the lost / forgotten tickets will be cancelled and therefore will not work at the course entry gates.

Can I exchange my ticket(s) for a different day?
Tickets can be exchanged for a different day up to 48 hours after purchase if bought before 13th July 2019. After 48 hours have passed (or if purchased after 13th July 2019), tickets are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for a different day.
Do you offer any concessions for Senior Citizens?
All persons over the age of 25 pay the adult price for tickets to The Open.
Are there discounts available for group bookings?
No group discounts are available. For large bookings, please contact The Open Ticket Office on +44 (0)1334 460010 or by emailing tickets@theopen.com
Can I purchase tickets on the day of the Championship?
No. The 148th Open is the first Open to operate as an all-ticket event. The only way to be certain of your attendance at The 148th Open is by purchasing your tickets in advance.
I have ordered tickets in my name but I am not attending. Is it ok for someone else to use the tickets?
Please contact the Ticket Office on +44 (0)1334 460010 or tickets@theopen.com
Do you need to show ID or the payment card to enter the course on the day?
If you are collecting tickets, or hold a Junior / Youth ticket, then you will be asked for proof of identity or age at the event.
When do tickets go on sale for a future year?
We would advise you to sign up to The One Club at www.theopen.com/TheOneClub to enjoy first access to priority tickets for every staging of The Open.
Where can I access with a daily/weekly admission ticket?
A general admission ticket provides access to the course. There will be thousands of public grandstand seats located around the course including at the 18th Green and at the Practice Ground, all free of charge to spectators. These are available on a first come, first come served basis. You can also make the most of your day by visiting the Spectator Village and the Practice Ground.
Do I need to purchase a ticket for a Junior?

All tickets for Juniors (Under 16 as of 13th July 2019) are free of charge. All Juniors require a valid course admission ticket in order to attend The Open and must be accompanied by a responsible adult who holds a valid course admission ticket (Adult or Youth). All tickets for Championship days are now sold out (including Junior tickets). However, to guarantee admission, all tickets (including Junior tickets) for practice days should be booked in advance either online or by contacting The Open Ticket Office on +44 (0)1334 460010.

If you would like to add a Junior ticket to your existing booking for any Sold Out Championship Days, you can sign up to our Waiting List (you do not need to specifically apply for Junior tickets when you sign up). Those on our waiting list who are also members of The One Club would receive priority access to tickets should any tickets become available.

Can a junior attend The Open by themselves?
Children under 16 years of age on 13th July 2019 cannot attend The Open unless accompanied by a responsible adult who holds a valid course admission ticket (Adult or Youth). Children under 16 years of age on the above date are eligible for ‘Kids Go Free’ Junior tickets which are available on a pre-booked basis at TheOpen.com/PortrushTickets. Please see terms and conditions for further details.
